Adoption Curve
Growing Readers Communities conduct campaigns to promote the adoption of a flow of books into homes and a routine of shared reading so that families begin to make books and reading a part of their everyday interactions with family, friends, and neighbors.
Collective Impact
At its core, literacy must be a shared value. When schools, libraries, and other community organizations collaborate to support family literacy, true progress can be made toward reading proficiency for all students.
The S-Shaped Curve
Community development work is complex, and growth is not always linear. When enough innovators and early adopters come onboard, however, it is possible to more quickly attain a critical mass where the self-determined routine of daily reading will be sustained throughout the community.
