Growing Readers

We imagine a world where all families with young children are inspired each day to create a better life for their children. We believe that books can be a source for that inspiration and few things are more powerful than a caring adult sharing a book with a child. The right book at the right time can increase a child’s sense of identity, increase their reading competence, and most importantly, it can inspire their inner drive to take responsibility for their own learning. As an organization, we see ourselves leading a movement to create this future by focusing on households with young children and inspiring a community-wide adoption of a daily routine of shared book reading.
